Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic
DESCRIPTION: PREVICOX® (firocoxib) belongs to the coxib class drugs non-narcotic, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Chewable tablets, it is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the relief of postoperative pain and inflammation in soft tissues in dogs.
The recommended dose of PREVICOX® (firocoxib) for oral administration in dogs is 2.27 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) body weight once daily. The tablets are slotted.

USE IN: 
FEATURES: PREVICOX® (firocoxib) chewable tablets is a pharmacist that meets all USDA requirements for hardness, friability, thickness and quantification of the active substance, as well as its ability to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the relief of postoperative pain and inflammation in soft tissues in dogs.
ADMINISTRATION: Orally.
The tablets can be administered alone or mixed with food.
DOSAGE: 5 mg per kg of body weight, once daily.

Interval between doses: 24 hours.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use in pregnant or lactating dogs.
Previous treatment with anti-inflammatory substances may lead to the appearance or aggravation of adverse effects. It is therefore recommended to maintain a period of 48 hours without any treatment before starting treatment with PREVICOX®. The duration of this transition period should be adapted according to the pharmacokinetic properties of the products previously used.
Do not administer PREVICOX® simultaneously with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or glucocorticoids.
Ulceration of the gastrointestinal tract may be exacerbated by the use of corticosteroids in patients given nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory products.
PRECAUTIONS: Do not exceed the recommended doses in animals less than 12 weeks of age.
If a decrease in appetite or unwanted weight loss is observed, it is recommended to interrupt the treatment and contact the Veterinarian.
PREVICOX® has not been studied in dogs with significant hepatic or renal impairment. The use of the product in these animals must be carried out under veterinary supervision. In case of accidental ingestion, immediately consult a doctor and show him the product.
STORAGE: Keep in a place protected from sunlight. Incinerate unused packaging and contents.
