INDICATIONS: Melodex® drops are indicated for the treatment of alterations, both acute and chronic, of the musculoskeletal system in canines and cats. It is used for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic surgery, ovariohysterectomy, or orchiectomy when administered prior to surgery.
DOSE:
Dogs: Initial: 0.5 mL/4 kg of body weight (0.2 mg/kg) every 24 hours. Maintenance: 0.2 mL/3 kg of body weight (0.1 mg/kg) every 24 hours. Felines : 0.2 mL/3 kg of body weight (0.1 mg/kg) every 24 hours. Each 1 mL equals 21 drops. On the recommendation of the Veterinarian.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral.
WARNINGS: Withdraw 24 hours prior to surgery and continue its administration after surgery. Do not use in animals hypersensitive to meloxicam. Use with caution in patients with liver, cardiac, renal, and bleeding disorders, as well as in dehydrated, hypovolemic, or hypotensive animals. In patients with loss of appetite and gastric problems, vomiting, diarrhea and/or gastrointestinal ulceration may occur. Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals. Store in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources at a temperature between 15 ?C and 30 ?C. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Product veterinary use only.
