First anticonvulsant for veterinary use. Potassium bromide is considered an effective anticonvulsant drug in the treatment of primary epilepsy in dogs. palatable tablet.

indications:
Primary or adjunctive treatment of seizures that do not respond adequately to phenobarbital as a single agent.
The anticonvulsant activity of potassium bromide is attributed to its generalized depressant effects on neuronal excitability and activity.
route of administration:
oral.
dose:
1 tablet per 10 kg. of weight (30 mg for each kg of weight) every 24 hours. the duration of treatment is at the discretion of the veterinarian.
