Convenia (cefovecin sodium) is an FDA-Approved, injectable antimicrobial indicated for the treatment of canine skin infections (secondary superficial pyoderma, abscesses, and wounds) caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus intermedius and Streptococcus canis (Group G).
