Indications

Amox C is indicated in dogs and cats for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, cellulitis and juvenile and deep superficial pyoderma; caused by susceptible strains of the following organisms: Staphylococcus sp., Streptococcus sp., Escherichia coli, and Pasteurella sp.

Formula

Each 850 mg tablet contains:

Amoxicillin trihydrate ............................. 114.7 mg

(equivalent to amoxicillin base: 100 mg)

Clavulanate potassium .................................. 29.8 mg

(equivalent to clavulanic acid: 25 mg)

Excipients q.s.p. ................................................ 1 tablet

Dosage and route of administration

Dogs: 12.5 - 37.5 mg/kg of the combination every 8 - 12 hours.

Cats: 62.5 mg every 12 - 24 hours.

The dose and frequency of administration can be increased at the discretion of the veterinarian.


precautions

The use of this product is contraindicated in animals with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or other ß-lactam antibiotics. In cases of anaphylaxis, administer epinephrine parenterally. Do not administer to pregnant or lactating females. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Storage conditions: Keep in a cool and dry place. Store at a temperature between 10°C and 30°C. Protect from direct sunlight. The final disposal of empty containers or containers with residual content must be carried out in accordance with current environmental regulations. Wash your hands after you have medicated the patient.
